I’m a Communications and Design Executive based in South Yorkshire, currently employed by Liberty Steel UK (formally Tata Steel/Corus).
I’m multi-disciplinary with a background and education in graphic design, I write, design, illustrate, film/edit/animate… just about anything creative I can get my hands on!
I have almost a decade of experience in the industry, initially training with Quark Express/Freehand etc, to now using the latest Adobe CC suite and it’s predecessors.
I regularly use the full range of Office software, with a good working knowledge of Excel and database management from my work in setting up, and managing thousands of products and users on various web-based platforms.
I also have experience in 3D modelling products, architecture, and character design for manufacturing and the games industry, using Maya, Blender, Substance Painter, and more.
More recently I have worked with Ocean Spark, an award-winning independent game studio as a concept artist. I have also worked directly with manufacturing companies to create bespoke display units; built to my exact specifications in CAD; for use in national trade shows, and in-store.
I have experience in Magento 1 & 2, having spent 4 years in an e-commerce environment, creating and maintaining a number of fully branded websites as well as designing signage and POS for bricks-and-mortar stores. This included furniture design, shop signage and POS, radio advertisements, and traditional newspaper and magazine ads.
My working practise began with taking direction from a dedicated marketing/client liason team, to working directly as an in-house designer for a number of top UK brands.
Today I’m responsible for internal and external comms and design for Liberty Steel UK, a manufacturing business with over 2,000 employees. This includes web, intranet, video, health & safety campaigns, employee engagement, customer experience, newspapers and articles, and anything creative or technical!
I also write, my first feature-length novel coming soon!
